Airstream Ventures partners with local fishing tournaments


JACKSONVILLE, Florida, November 16, 2021- Airstream Ventures is proud to announce the partnership with two upcoming fishing tournaments next year. The partnership includes becoming the official social media, public relations, and sponsorship company to assist both tournaments.


The Northeast Florida Wahoo Shootout is the largest wahoo tournament in the world. It runs February 5, 2022 through March 27, 2022. The contestants have three days of their choice to fish from during that period. Text 904-544-2262 to declare your fishing days.

Strike Zone Fishing Weigh-in locations are in Jacksonville and Melbourne.


The first place prize is a $95,000 21’ Yellowfin Bay Boat, 200 HP Yamaha 4 Stroke and AmeraTrail Trailer. The second place prize is a $16,000 Kubota RTV-XG850 Sidekick compact utility vehicle and Shimano trophy. For more information, visit https://www.wahooshootout.com.

The Old School Kingfish Shootout aimed to make Kingfishing great again, and they did just that. Now, they just want to keep it great. The event, which will be held June 10-12, 2022, is designed to level the playing field for all participants, regardless of their budget or boat size.


The tournament site is the Vilano Beach Pier. This is the first year that it will be a one-day tournament. The Captains meeting will be Friday, fishing and weigh-in on Saturday, and the awards on Sunday.


A Yellowfin 21' Boat, 200 HP Yamaha 4-Stroke, and AmeraTrail Trailer worth $95,000 fis awarded for the largest kingfish, in addition to paying out 25 places, top 5 lady anglers, and top 5 junior anglers.


The registration for the Old School Kingfish Shootout will open in mid-April.


“We have been able to build up these tournaments over the last several years,” said Paul Dozier. Our goal has always been to expand these tournaments so we turned to the Airstream Ventures team to help us. We are excited about working with their staff to see how the tournaments can grow even more.”
