ORANGE PARK, Fla. – Bowl season will kick off in a different way in 2020 as youth football players from across the region will have the opportunity to participate in the inaugural First Coast Bowl Series on Nov. 14.

The event will pit teams of different youth leagues against teams outside of their league as a celebration to the end of their season. Every game will be played at Orange Park High School.

“Thanks to all of the youth football leaders in the area, we are excited to offer this opportunity for them to end their season in a fun format against teams from across the region,” said Alan Verlander, President and CEO of Airstream Ventures. “From all the feedback from the leaders, we hope to build this into an annual tradition for youth football in our area.”

Games will be setup via five different age groups, starting with Might Mites at under 8, as well as under 10, under 12, and under 14. An estimated 24 teams are expected to participate in the inaugural event.

“This is a great youth athletic event that brings families together for a fun weekend here in Clay County,” said Mike Cella, Clay County Board of County Commissioners member and chair of the Clay County Tourist Development Council. “Events like these make a positive economic impact on our community and we look forward to welcoming everyone to Clay County for the weekend.”
