JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (June 10, 2020) – The 2020 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will begin its delayed season in July and the second annual WW Ranch National will be part of the shortened season on July 25th at WW Motocross Park.
The WW Ranch National will bring the top riders for a day of qualifying and racing that culminates with two hours of live television coverage on NBC Sports Network of the championship round.
“We are proud to welcome the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship to Jacksonville,” said City of Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry. “We are fortunate to have a world class facility and look forward to the competitors and fans having a great and safe experience. I am grateful for the leadership of the Scarborough family and our partners at Airstream Ventures for leading the efforts in bringing sports tourism back to our city through this nationally televised race.”
The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season will start the week prior on July 18th at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Ind. Fan safety measures will be in place, including a reduced fan capacity for the event and pit access will be limited for credentialed personnel only.
“We are ready to get back to racing and thankful for the partnership with WW Motocross Park to host this year,” said Carrie Russell, CEO of MX Sports Pro Racing. “Our task force has put together a strong protocol for the safety of our racers, teams, and fans that will enable us to continue to provide a great event.”
WW Motocross Park received rave reviews after the first edition of the race saw Marvin Musquin claimed his first victory of the season, winning the 450 Class while Justin Cooper got his first professional win in the 250 Class.
“It’s exciting to have our event on the calendar again and getting back to racing,” said Junior Scarborough, owner of WW Motocross Park. “We’ve got a lot of work to do in a short amount of time, but we will be ready to put on a first-class event that showcases our city and track.”
Tickets are on sale now for the race at www.wwmotox.com, including the WW Ranch Club – an all-inclusive ticket with VIP viewing, cool zone and tented area, plus food and drink.
