Airstream Ventures is adding to its startup team with Joel Lamp joining as Chief Revenue Officer. Lamp brings a vast array of experience in event planning, sales and public relations. His experiences make him the ideal candidate to join the sports marketing and event company.
“I’m excited to be working with Joel again,” said Alan Verlander, CEO of Airstream Ventures. “When I started to look at building our team, I wanted someone with a lot of experience in different areas and Joel represents those experiences. He understands how to link corporate partners to their passion and vision across the various platforms. Joel has built a tremendous network in the area and he will play a key role in the growth of our company.”
Lamp has been a staple of the Jacksonville sports and entertainment scene for the last 13
years, spending seven years at Jacksonville University before spending four-plus years with the City of Jacksonville Sports & Entertainment Office. He has been the media coordinator for the NCAA men’s basketball championships in Jacksonville three times (2006, 2010 and 2015) as well as bringing the USA Curling National Championships to Jacksonville in 2016. He has also been involved in leading the Davis Cup in 2013 and assisting in the Country Music Super Fest in 2014 and 2015.
In 2016, he was honored by the Jacksonville Business Journal by being selected to the
prestigious “40 Under 40".
“This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up,” Lamp said. “Being able to team up with Alan again in order to build Airstream Ventures is special.”
