Nationally televised jet ski tour set for two days of racing on Lake Verona

SEBRING, Fla. (April 26, 2022) - The Liqui Moly ProWatercross National Tour will open its 2022 season at Avon Park's Donaldson Park on the shores of Lake Verona starting this Saturday.
The two-day event (April 30-May1) features more than 100 competitors from across the country with more than 300 hotel room nights expected to be booked for the event and a nationally televised show recapping the event on CBS Sports Network.
“We are excited to start our 2022 ProWatercross season in downtown Avon Park,” said AJ Handler, chairman of ProWatercross. “Lake Verona provides an ideal venue that will provide great views of the race and a unique experience for our racers.”
The races kick off the 27th season of ProWatercross as each day features more than six hours of action on Lake Verona, with the entire course visible from the shore – making a unique experience for all attendees.
“This is a great opportunity to showcase one of our beautiful lakes in a new way that continues our theme of being a premier racing destination,” said Casey Hartt, tourism consultant for Visit Sebring. “Donaldson Park will be a great venue for this event, with plenty of room for everyone to take in the races for free.”
