Monthly concert series set for River City Railway to celebrate top local performers
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The River City Railway will come alive with music monthly with the debut of Railway LIVE on Nov. 5.
The private railcar tailgating area will be transformed into a concert venue with The Band Be Easy performing in the first show. The first 70 tickets are available for $20 each, including an open bar. Once those are sold, tickets are $25 each with an open bar, while VIP options are available that include a private car, priority seating near the stage, and food.
“Since we started this project, one of the first things that came to our mind was to start a music series and Railway LIVE is going to be a fun set of shows that transform the area,” said Alan Verlander, Presidents and CEO of Airstream Ventures. “We look forward to creating a socially safe event around this concept that will bring more people into Downtown and the Sports Complex.”
The Railway LIVE starts the festivities of Florida-Georgia weekend. To purchase tickets click here.
On Friday evening, the Jay Fund Kickoff Cookoff presented by the Hastings Injury Firm will take over the Railway for the first time. The fifth annual event has usually been held prior to the season but was delayed due to Covid precautions.
Patrons can come join the revelry on Friday night with a $20 ticket to taste the competitor’s samples, with all proceeds going to the Jay Fund. Entry fee for the teams is $250 per person or $500 for a corporate team. The winner receives a $500 cash prize.
There will be a cornhole competition as well, with other games and entertainment options available throughout the venue.
