Event features multiple levels of competition across the CGT Courses
SEBRING, Fla. – Someone will win the right to wear the prestigious Citrus Coast at the Citrus Golf Trail Open on Dec. 3-5 with registration opening for the inaugural title.
Hailed as the “Value Golf Capital of the World,” the CGT Open includes a 3-day event with the Minor League Golf Tour at Deer Run on Sun ‘N Lake Golf Club starting on Dec. 2.
The CGT Open is headlined by a fourball competition features three different divisions – men’s, women’s and mixed, with an individual competition available to juniors and collegiate players.
“This will be a great weekend of golf in Sebring and thanks to all of the member facilities of the Citrus Golf Trail for working together to bring this event to life,” said Casey Hartt, Director of Visit Sebring. “We look forward to having a great weekend of golf at the end of the year to showcase our courses and destination.”
A new feature of the event will be a daily “Panic 12” at the The 12 at Sebring International. The par-3 course will have a daily skins game that is available for all of the participants in the CGT Open looking for an additional challenge.
“We look forward to launching this event and creating a fun event that is competitive but also a great experience for the participants,” said Joel Lamp, Senior Director of Tourism & Events for Airstream Ventures who is hosting the event in conjunction with Visit Sebring. “Our hope is to build this into one of the premier golf weekends in the area.”
